As her students prepared to perform at a Kwanzaa celebration, school administrator Jayme Broome became inspired. “Being African American, you hear about Kwanzaa and, like most people, think it’s a religious holiday,” Broome said. “But it’s not a religious holiday but more of a cultural one.
